The KICK that rocked New Orleans!

WHO DAT WHO DAT WHO DAT SAY DEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS!!!!! Way to geaux New Orleans!!!! I have a great fondness for the Saints, Joel and I lived there for almost 4 years and and our baby girl was born there. You just can NOT live in New Orleans and not fall in love with the city and the Saints! I have to admit though that it was hard to watch Brett Farve loose, I think he is one of the best qb's of all time and I admire him a great deal. But I still have to say the "BEST" team won!!!!!!! WHO DAT!!!!
Oh and by the way, I did not take that picture but I just had to post it, hope that's not a no no!

Lazy...

Ok the truth is I'm still not feeling all that great, better but still really tired. I don't remember ever having a cold last this long. I promise to catch up with Project 365 asap! You'll just have to bear with me and get them all at once! Stay healthy y'all!

Yuck!

Lauren and I have been sick now for 3 days. That's why I have not posted any pictures for the Project 365 yet, I do have the pictures I just really don't have the energy to post them.... I HATE being sick, I'm a big baby. Now Lauren on the other hand is in her play room singing "When the spirit of the Lord moves with in my heart I will shout like David shouted!" She was sick first so I'm sure I caught it from her but as we all know age is not kind in these situations! Until next time here's hoping you all are happy and healthy!

Project 365 January 9, 2010

We have had unusually cold temperatures down here in South Georgia. I mean like it's never this cold and when it is it's only a day or two at a time. But not this time, it's been like below freezing at night for like the last week and the temps during the day are not much better. I think the high one day was 36! Tonight we're looking at getting down to 18. Lauren and I went and had supper with Joel at the fire department tonight (his first night as a full time firefighter by the way) and the first thing Lauren spots is icicles all over a bush by the building. They have a hose out back shooting a fine mist to keep pipes from freezing and it has made some awesome icicles. I mean one of them was like 2 feet long! She had a ball eating them and manged to get so wet while trying to get to them that we had to hurry and strip her down and wrap her in a blanket! She just had to get "one" more to bring home. So she road home wrapped in a blanket with her icicle in a cup beside her. It melted some but not to bad.

Project 365 January 8, 2010

Well this is Slushy turtle, one of Lauren's beloved "toys" she's had since she was about 2. Slushy came in a Sonic kids meal and it was love at first site. He has been lost numerous times over the last 5 years, but thankfully we always find him! Every time I see him I smile remembering all the happy moments he and my girl have shared.... and as far as being lost, I think he may be in my cup holder out in the Suburban at the moment.

Project 365 January 7, 2010

This is a picture of our first car as a married couple. It's a 1993 Subaru Legacy (Like the best car int the world)! It has way over 200,000 miles on it and still runs great, well except the AC did die finally and as you all no you can't ride in a car with no AC in South Georgia. This car has been through so much in 16 years. I nearly totaled it not long after we got it, if it had not been almost brand new they would have totaled it but see we still owed allot on it so they fixed it up good as new. It moved with us from GA to AL to NOLA (that's short for New Orleans Louisiana) While living in NOLA we went through the worst hail storm I've ever been in, the hail was so big and numerous it looked like it had snowed. Needless to say the damage to our now paid for car was so much that they did total it this time. I had know idea that when they total your car and give you a check that if you want to keep your car you have to buy it back. So that's just what we did, see there was no way we were parting with our trusty Subaru. Oh and we can't forget the time the bulldog attacked her while trying to get to our two kittens, if you look closely you can see on the front wheel fender teeth marks where he chewed on her..... stinking dog! When we moved back to GA we had accumulated 2 other vehicles, we talked about selling her but we just could not part with her. Now here we are 16 years latter and she's still in the yard. Joel drives her sometimes when the gas prices get to crazy as they are subject to doing now days. He drove her just yesterday to pick up Lauren from school and the old Subaru was given the best complement she's ever been given, Lauren was excited to see her dad in the Subaru and when she got in the back seat she said "Dad this is great, it's just like GG's Corvette!" It still makes me laugh when I think about it. Just so you don't think Lauren is a tad "sight challenged" let me explain why she said that, she's been riding around in a Suburban or truck her entire life so anything low is like riding in GG's Vet! I do apologize for this being oh so much more then a sentence about my picture but hey this car is family and I could not post her picture with out you all understanding why she looks the way she does!
